About

Somerset Art Works and partners will be developing creative activities for people in North Taunton in the Spring and Summer of 2021.

Working outdoors in Lyngford Park, at home, or in school, we will explore how Pollination plays a role in the natural world to secure our future.

We start off with a cut grass Labyrinth, created by Christopher Jelley, on lower Lyngford Park. This will be followed by a programme of creative activities for all ages. On Tuesdays throughout the summer holidays there will be FREE family activities in Lyngford Park 11am – 3pm.
27 July – 31 August inclusive.

The aim of this project is to encourage families and people of all ages to use the park and feel ‘ownership’ of these spaces, also to inspire young people to explore and understand nature.

Somerset Art Works

We initiate a wide range of projects in a variety of settings, working in partnership with
other organisations. We work to increase public engagement, weaving
together communities and creativity, promoting health and wellbeing. We have been working in North Taunton since 2014 through the Our Place project https://somersetartworks.org.uk/what-we-do/projects/current-projects/our-place/
